silly question, buttttt... nitro in my street motor?

Postby ratonabike on Mon Apr 26, 2010

...just curious... always joked about it...

would it be conceivable to run nitro on the street? 10%? 20%? or more? mixed with pump gas?? or could u even mix it with pump gas? hmmm... and what other changes would i need to do to get it to work (if it could work at all), on a (built 406 10.3:1 comp) carbureted small block? probably just thinking of another way to blow up my car... ha...

nitro has some very stong smells associated with the exaust--I would not use it on the street--it might even be elligal like nos--(having a bad spelling day) I would also say that your compression needs to be higher for a better burn--then there is the tunning and fuel system compatibility issue--will it all work to gether I do not know the answer to that...

Remember the old frount engine dragsters with guys whereing resperators--I know a lot of that was because of the tire smoke, but some had to be because of the fuel--nitro methane just my 2cents
