**Shooting Star Dodge Omni**

After switching from dragsters to funny cars, Bill campaigned his own equipment from 1987 to 1993. Here he is at the starting line in his famous Shooting Star Dodge Omni Ready to make a pass at US13 Dragway. Bill was very successful in this car.

Bill In The Tom Pickett Funny Car

In 1993, Bill began driving a Funny Car for area businessman Tom Pickett. Here's one of the cars Bill competed in for Pickett in National events in both IHRA and NHRA
from 93-95.

Bill's efforts at racing has always been a family affair and every member helps out. Growing up around racing, each one of the family members has their own responsibilty to make the Shooting Star Team work. Whether it's in the pits getting ready for the next run (Upper Photo). Or on the starting line,
(Lower picture) the Naves' family(Bottom Photo) has always been there.
