First Round vs. Todd Baucknect. This was one of the most interesting top ends at a track, that we have seen in a long time. If you did not make the stop, you would be launched onto a circle dirt track.
Bill did his usual smoky burnout, but ran into tire shake, losing the round with a 4.443 @ 158.98 vs. Todd's 4.199 @ 148.10

Second Round was against Gary Waters. Gary got off the line first. Bill launched hard, but quickly got into tire shake at around the 60 ft. mark. The Shooting Star started using up a lot of real-estate at the 330 mark, where it pulled hard to the left. You could hear the crowd and crew let out a collective gasp, as Bill did an incredible driving job keeping the car off the wall. Bill's excellent driving clearly avoided what could have been a real disaster. Bill's 4.766 pass @ 117.73 MPH lost to Gary's 4.289 run @ 165.45.
