Driver, Bill Naves at 55 years old is an ASE Master Mechanic. He holds both NHRA and IHRA licenses. With more than 30 years racing experience, Bill has competed in altereds, front and rear engine dragsters and several alcohol funny cars. He competes in 16 or more events annually throughout the East Coast and South. His children have grown up around drag racing. Along with his wife Kimberley they have earned the respect and recognition from competitors as a knowledgeable starting line team. While not always the quickest or fastest entry, they usually require only one qualifying attempt to make the field.

Bill Naves has been actively racing since the mid seventies. Starting like so many others as a bracket racer he competed for several years in the New England area. Some might think that a step from Bracket racer up to a Top Alcohol Dragster was an extreme step with an impossible learning curve, but with a reduced competition schedule all fell nicely into place, allowing Bill to become an accomplished driver and tuner of the high powered Alcohol Dragster. In 1987 while still competing regionally, an opportunity became available to switch to Funny Cars. Bill successfully competed in his own equipment from 1987 to 1993, then started driving a Funny Car for area businessman Tom Pickett. After competing for Pickett in National events in both IHRA and NHRA from 1993-1995 and following a serious finish line crash at Bristol Dragway, another re-think was in order. By now the business climate in his home state was becoming unbearable due to increased taxation and constantly changing environmental issues. Not having lost his desire to race and armed with the fact that there are nearly 100 dragstrips within weekend towing distance, Bill relocated from Salisbury Massachusettes to Salisbury North Carolina in 1996.
