Launch!

Hi, my name is Brandon, AKA Moparman, and the picture below is my Mopar, a 1972 Dodge Demon. As you can see it needs some work. I bracket race it on the weekends and it's also my daily driver. It has a Starshifter on the floor and the hood scoop works. The 8 3/4" rearend has 3.55 gears. I also just recently won "Best Under Construction" with this car at a local car show.

Pictured below is the engine that powers my Demon, a 318. Of course it isn't stock as you can see. My dad and I rebuilt this engine and modified it during the process. We put in a 284/480 Crane cam, new bearings, rings, a set of 360 heads shaved .050, an aluminum intake and an MSD5 with a Super Stock coil to take care of the sparks. A 727 with a shift improver kit and a factory high stall converter takes care of the shifting. All this is good for a 9.71@74mph in the 1/8 mile.
