Vickie: I wanted to stop in and say hello!! Thanks for all you are going to help me out with!! I sincerely appreciate it!!! Your website is great. I cant believe that Monte Carlo can get up and move like that. It must weigh over 3,500 pounds, right? Probably much more than that maybe.
Nice to meet you and look forward to keeping in contact with each other!!!

Nice Monte Vickie. How fast does it go? We will have to match race sometime.I used to match race Carolyn Melendy out east back when she had a Pro Mod. We headlined it Beauty & The Beast. Of course I was the Beauty. We had lot of fun. Carolyn was a pistol. Best, Animal Jim

Nice Monte!!! I have a white 78'monte. I have raced it only a few times in 2001 and my times are around yous in the low 14's. I have to do a few more thing to my to make just perfect. I have a stock rearend still and i am going to change to a floor shifter. I may add nos but i might save it till my next car. my car is so loud my neighbours hate me. I have spent about $10,000 Canadaian on the engine alone.Check out my site for some pics of my car! Love your car. Did you win?

Great looking web site! Hope you get a chance to get that Monte Carlo back on the track soon. Maybe I'll get a chance to run you sometime. I drive a Ford Thunderbird Supercoup. It would make a good Ford vs Chevy grudge race. Ha-Ha!!!

You have a catchy website. It's nice to see women in Drag Racing, especially Chevywomen. I am also a fellow Drag Racer. I mostly run at Rock Falls Raceway, but plan on hitting some Ill. tracks next year and beyond. I run a 67' Chevelle and throughout the years finally made it's final Et's and mph this last year at 9.56 at almost 138. It started with a 355 that maxed out at 9.93 on a very good air day and ended up with a 406 as it's final engine. Of course consistancy is what counts but sometimes the addiction to speed wins in most of my decisions. Congratulations on your Monte and your strive to Drag Race. Keep on racing and good luck in the future. Jay

Hi Vickie,
I really enjoy your website, it's one of the few that I visit on a regular basis. Always good to see women involved with racing. I recently started checking out the "HotRodder.com Member of the Week" and enjoyed reading about your Monte Carlo but was wondering if you were planning on easing your grip on that spot and display some other members ride/story? Couldn't resist kidding you on that, seriously though thanks for a great website.

Vicki, how refreshing to see another female enjoying hotrodding! A few months ago I got back my precious full custom street rod that I used to race 45 years ago and I'm planning on restoring it and getting back to the wonderful world of rodding, but this time as a granny. It was disappointing to read the hot rod magazines lately and find out there are no more females in the sport than there were in the fifties. Congratulations and good luck to you!
