Buick

  This is my 1994 Buick Regal Gran Sport. 3.8 liter V-6. Front wheel drive.  The picture was taken at Northeast Dragstrip in Winfall, NC on November 10, 2002.  On this particular day, I was the runner-up in Northeast's Street bracket. I won Northeast's Street eliminator, in the Buick, on December 11, 2004.   I only started entering it in some bracket races in 2001. It leaves a lot more leisurely than my Camaro (of course).  It's best numbers are 10.25 @ 67.4 mph in the 1/8 mile.  I've also won Wayne County Speedway's Pure Street bracket with it and runner-upped in their Footbrake bracket. On top of all that, it'll hit 30 miles to the gallon in normal highway driving.  That sure helps keep costs in line too! 

Although the Buick takes much more time to clear the staging beams, I have been competitive while conventionally staging it (vs. deepstaging it).



Camaro


This photo was taken in the Northeast Dragway staging lanes on June 23, 2007. As you can see, the Northeast staging lanes stay pretty full. I won Northeast's Street Eliminator championship in 2003, 2004, and 2005. I have been running in Northeast's Top Eliminator in 2006, 2007, and 2008.

  This photo was taken in July of 2008, at Brewer's Speedway. After a 6 year layoff, Brewer's is now back to offering twice monthly bracket racing!.
