Well years went by after the war and the car was retired in the field out behind the barn. Some where along the line a few parts started going by the way side as many have done. One of them were the Top Irons and bows. ( May have actually been thrown away after removal. )
So at one point the son decided he was going to fix the car.
Now how it got cut in half I'm still not sure.
By now he was getting discouraged due to the condition of the body after 60 plus years. So he sold it to Don.
When Don originally purchased the car he bought it from looking at a picture that the son had. Its best not to do this. You should always physically look at what you are buying. He paid a very hefty price for it, trusting that he had been told the whole truth. But was not informed of the condition of the rear area of the car.
