Northeastern Indiana Racing Museum Seeking Avilla Race Track Memorabilia
Auburn - The Northeastern Indiana Racing Museum located inside the Kruse WWII Victory and Automobile Museum near
Auburn,Indiana preserves the local oval and drag racing history of Northern Indiana. Right now, they are actively
seeking photos and racing artifacts (for donation or loan) from the former Avilla Dragstip / oval track that was located
in Avilla,Indiana.
The Kruse museum is a large facility which houses both the WWII Museum and the Automobile & Carriage Museum,
along with a 20,000 square foot room which can be rented for special events. The Northeastern Indiana Racing
Museum has many Indy race cars, front engine rail dragsters and a few cars from NASCAR including one that had belonged
to Dale Earnhardt. Famous cars from TV shows and movies, custom hotrods, custom horse carriages from
custom builder Carl Casper, Cords, Duesenburgs, and 150 Corvettes from Pro Team Corvette in Napoleon, Ohio
are just some of the vehicles on display from the first year to present. For more information, please visit their
